 | | 16th Street in Denver | For many people who have never been to the city and who only know that Denver lies somewhere in the Rocky Mountains, this capital city of the hilly state of Colorado is probably synonymous with stormy winds. The opposite is true, however. Denver is geographically isolated city, dramatically situated at an imposing altitude, with the 15th step of its Capitol, precisely one mile above sea level on the Colorado Plains. Thanks to its 300 sunny days per year, it actually surpasses holiday places such as Florida, Miami or Honolulu. It’s even warmer here in the winter than it is in New York or, say, St. Louis. |

Southern Moravia you find in east corner of Czech Republic. Wine has been grown in Southern Moravia for more than two thousand years. The growing of wines on rootstock began here with the Roman army. The first real documented proof of wine growing is in the founding charter Hradistansky monastery in 1087 and in many others documents attesting to the blossoming of vineyards in Moravia. Flourishing vineyards were founded by Bishop Bruno of Olomouc in the 14th century who taught Charles the Fourth, the Czech and German king and Roman emperor, himself. The wine-growing regions of Southern Moravia extend over an area of more than 65,000 acres. |
