The whole region is traversed by a dense network of marked cycling trails and hiking routes allowing one to experience the typical south-Bohemian countryside with ponds, narrow field paths along vast colorful meadows and fields, deep forests and picturesque south-Bohemian villages, Calvary chapels and forest seclusions.

The Trebon Square, surrounded by burgher houses with Renaissance and Baroque frontispieces, is a natural centre of the entire city monument reserve. The most notable building is the Old Town Hall with its 102 feet high tower providing a wonderful view over the surrounding landscape. In the middle of the square there is a Renaissance stone fountain, and in its vicinity there is the Baroque Marian Column.
 | | Trebon chateau | Trebon Chateau is one of the biggest chateau complexes in the Czech Republic. The pretentious Renaissance mansion house of the notable Czech family – the Rozmberks – was built later on the place of the gothic castle. Another mighty family – the Schwarzenbergs – enriched the chateau with Baroque buildings.
 | | Vault of the Schwarzenbergs | The family Vault of the Schwarzenbergs is one of the most architecturally remarkable monuments in southern Bohemia. It is situated in the park at the south-eastern side of the pond called Svet (World). It was built in the second half of the 19th century in neo-gothic style. One of its peculiarities is that the vault itself is under the level of the terrain and Svet pond.
The Decanal Church of Our Lady Queen and St. Jiles and former Augustinian monastery are situated in the vicinity of the main square. The pieces of the main altar rank among the top masterworks of the Czech gothic paintings of the last quarter of the 14th century.
 | | Brewery in Trebon | Beer brewing in Trebon has a long tradition dating back to the 14th century. The present brewery was established by altering the original Rozmberk’s armory into the county Schwarzenberg’s brewery at the beginning of the 18th century. Regent Beer is brewed using traditional technology and exclusive natural stock.
Each trip needs stops. If you travel through the area of Trebon, it is impossible to leave out picturesque villages such as Novosedly nad Nezarkou, Luznice, Dunajovice, Nova Hlina, Majdalena or Chlum u Trebone. Typical country buildings representing the so-called rural baroque will fascinate you with their graceful fronts and the purity of their lines. To the west of Ceske Budejovice you can visit the village Holasovice that has been registered on the list of sites under the protection of UNESCO.
