 | | St Nicolas Church | On the beguiling Lesser Town Square (Mala Strana) don’t miss the great St Nicolas Church | | St Vitus Cathedral | (Chram svateho Mikulase). From here the Nerudova Street leads to the Prague Castle, one of the biggest fortresses in Europe. The castle hides the Old Royal Palace (Stary kralovsky palac), the Basilica of St George (Bazilika svateho Jiri), the presidential office, the Golden Lane (Zlata ulicka) with typical medieval picturesque tiny houses, and the treasure of the Gothic architecture – the St Vitus Cathedral (Svatovitska katedrala). At the Hradcany Square (Hradcanske namesti) you can see the hourly changing of the Castle guard. Passing through the magnificent baroque Mathias Gate (Matyasova brana) to the castle courtyards and the Royal Palace you come to St Vitus Cathedral, where in the Wenceslas Chapel houses the relics of the Czech patron preserve. Founded by the first Czech sovereigns, | | Golden Lane | and today the seat of the President of the Republic, the Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral remain important symbols of Czech statehood and the establishment of Christianity in Bohemia. The view from the castle’s gardens is spectacular.
 | | Prague Loreto | West of the Prague Castle lies the Loreto Square (Loretanske namesti), famous for its two contrasting buildings: Cernin Palace, the largest palace in Prague, and the Prague Loreto. Imposing facade of the Cernin Palace, created by Francesco Caratti in the 17th century, is 500 feet long. During the Napoleonic Wars, the palace was used as a military hospital, today is it the | | Charles Bridge by sunset | Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Prague Loreto from 17th century is a copy of Mary's house (the Santa Casa) and Baroque pilgrimage site. Inside you find the famous Loreto Treasure. The most valuable piece is the Prague Sun, a silver monstrance from 17th century with 6,222 diamonds.
Don’t miss a tram ride (No 22) and very romantic boat trip which catches all of Prague’s important sights from entirely different angle.
 | | Lesser Town roofs | Prague has more than just interesting sights and rich culture to offer. Inseparable from the city are the countless legends, stories, and enigmatic tales inspired by its twisted maze of dimly lit streets and cobles lanes. All reveal a darker side of Prague’s character, one of mystery, melancholy, and mayhem. So come and listen to the colorful stories of old Prague, be they gruesome, “the secret of the Astronomical Clock” or “the ghosts of the twenty-seven executed nobles”. Prague´s ghosts can scare you to death.
Come and see the beauty of Prague, the heart of Europe.
